The Rolex Middle Sea Race will take place in Malta; a highly rated offshore classic, often mentioned in the same breath as the Rolex Fastnet, The Rolex Sydney – Hobart and Newport-Bermuda as a “must do” race.
The Royal Malta Yacht Club and the Royal Ocean Racing Club co-founded the race in 1968.
In the last years, the number of entries have been risening sharply to 100 boats thanks to a new Organising Committee that managed to bring Rolex on board as main sponsor for the Middle Sea Race.
The race is a true challenge for the skippers and crews who have to give the best to fight against changeable and demanding weather conditions.
The race is blessed by an unsurpassed scenery, taking the competitors close to a many different islands, taht are going to mark the course of this regatta.
Ted Turner described the MSR as “the most beautiful race course in the world”.
